Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, sanctions may include:
- product deactivation
- temporary or permanent suspension of your store
- restrictions on the use of services
- limits on compensations
- loss of commissions or payable amounts
- refund claims

Products & Listings

Counterfeit products

Selling products that are not genuine while presenting them as authentic or branded. -
Prohibited or unsafe products

Listing products that are:- illegal

Misleading product descriptions

Presenting a product that differs from what is actually offered.
Providing false or misleading information (e.g. features, condition, origin).
Orders & Shipping
Failure to ship or misleading shipment

- Accepting an order without shipping the product (including international orders)
- Shipping an empty parcel
- Shipping a product of lower value or different from what was ordered

Encouraging purchases outside Skroutz
Providing contact details or instructions (e.g. website, phone number, social media) in order to encourage customers to complete their purchase directly with the store instead of through the Skroutz platform.
Reviews
Review manipulation

- Creating fake reviews for your own store
- Submitting false negative reviews about competitors
- Offering incentives (e.g. gifts, money) for positive reviews
- Contacting customers to request changes or removal of their reviews
Abuse of Platform Rules

Circumventing sanctions
- Attempting to avoid restrictions or measures imposed due to poor operational performance
- Creating new accounts to bypass suspension or deactivation
- Avoiding charges or cancellations through alternative processes -
Distorting competition
- Price-fixing agreements with other stores
- Coordinated actions to influence pricing, availability, or product visibility
- Manipulating search results through artificial actions (e.g. fake sales, artificial demand) -
Manipulation of sales & performance metrics
- Creating fake or fictitious orders to artificially increase sales or performance
- Artificially improving store performance (sales, ratings, metrics) in ways that do not reflect reality
- Incorrectly completing orders (e.g. partial shipment instead of cancellation) to avoid negative impact on performance -
Concealment or alteration of sales tracking
- Using tools or techniques to prevent accurate tracking of Skroutz-generated sales, in order to avoid commissions or distort performance data
Abuse of Skroutz Services

Using Skroutz for off-platform shipping
- Creating orders on Skroutz to ship products purchased outside the platform, in order to use Skroutz shipping services
- Using third-party accounts for the same purpose -
False shipping details
Providing incorrect shipment details to reduce shipping costs, such as:- different product
- lower weight or parcel size
Compensation
Misleading compensation claims
Submitting false or misleading compensation requests, such as:
- declaring a parcel as lost
- declaring a product as damaged
Promotions
Promoting off-platform purchases via coupons
Including inserts in shipments (e.g. flyers, coupons, promotional material) that direct customers to complete purchases outside Skroutz, directly through the store’s website.
